This Privacy Policy explains how UK Study Navigator ("we", "us") collects and uses your information when you use our eligibility checker and purchase the full report. We aim to keep this short and plain.

1. What we collect

Answers you provide in the checker (country, level, qualifications, English test results, budget, course interests). Stored in your browser to let you resume the flow.
Payment information for the full report is collected and processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We receive a record of the transaction (email address, payment reference, amount, currency) but we do not see or store your card details.
Marketing preference: if you tick the opt-in box before payment, we record that you agreed to receive marketing emails.

2. How we use your information

To generate and deliver your personalised report.
To confirm your payment and provide access to the full report.
To send you marketing emails about UK study guidance, scholarships, application tips and visa updates — only if you ticked the marketing opt-in box.
To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.

3. Marketing emails and consent

We will only send you marketing emails if you gave explicit consent by ticking the opt-in box before payment. Payment alone is not treated as consent to marketing.

You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email, or by emailing us at support@ukstudynavigator.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect access to a report you have already purchased.

4. Where your data is stored

Checker answers: stored locally in your browser (localStorage) on your device.
Payment and customer records: stored by Stripe, our payment processor, and in our secure backend database for order and access records.
Marketing contacts: stored in our email/marketing tools solely for sending the emails you opted in to.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the service (payment processing, hosting, email delivery), and where required by law.

6. Your rights

Under UK/EU data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, email support@ukstudynavigator.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

7. Data retention

We keep payment and access records for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal or tax obligations. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.

8. Cookies and analytics

We use only the storage strictly necessary to run the checker and remember your progress. If we add analytics or tracking cookies in future, we will update this page.
